God & The Bible
-
This is the same God that has been confessed in the Christian Church throughout history in these three creeds: The Apostles', the Nicene, and the Athanasian. We also confess these same creeds. We see the three persons of the Trinity clearly in the account of Jesus' baptism: "As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.'"
Matthew 3:16-17

Jesus, true God, became a man to take our place and to live a perfect life for us. He also paid the punishment for our sins by dying on a cross and gave us the sure hope of heaven by rising from the dead. All Scripture centers on God's plan to save us, which centers on Jesus Christ, His only Son. "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about Me."
John 5:29

The Bible is the place where God reveals the truth about our relationship with Him. In it, we see the truth about our sin but also the truth about God's love for us in Jesus. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness."
2 Timothy 3:16

Our Mission
Jesus gave the command to all His disciples, including us, to share this message with everyone. He said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
—Matthew 28:19-20
